Jacob Smallman Brian Adam and Angela (nee Rickley) Smallman of St. Ignace announce the birth of their son, Jacob Carven Smallman, born Friday, March 5, 2010, at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital in Petoskey. He weighed 8 pounds, 5.4 ounces at birth and measured 19.5 inches in length.

Grandparents are Lawrence and Jennifer Sayles of St. Ignace, Daryl and Robyn Hill of Cedarville, Ken and Leanne Landreville of Hessel, and the late Robert Rickley, Jr. Great-grandparents are Edna Collins, Bunnie Rickley, both of St. Ignace, Linda Sayles and the late Bob Sayles of Hessel, Jim and Kathy Collins of Paradise, and the late Robert Rickley, Sr. Great-great-grandmother is Burnetta Soeltner of Moran.
