Megan Schairer and Matthew Compton Donald and Sheryl Schairer of St. Ignace announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Jean Schairer, to Matthew Ross Compton, son of William and Cindy Compton of Ann Arbor.

Ms. Schairer is attending Washtenaw Community College to obtain credentials as a medical transcriptionist.

Mr. Compton, a graduate of Washtenaw Community College, is employed by Saturn of Ann Arbor as an automotive technician.

The couple will marry in June 2011, and will reside in the Ann Arbor area.
