Hello, everyone. The warm sunshine is definitely welcome, but the rain last week was much needed.
There will be amateur photo tours Thursday, May 20, starting at 7 a.m. at the Seney National Wildlife Refuge. Join up with other amateur photographers to explore the refuge, look for great shots, and share photographs and skills. Come prepared for a variety of weather and bugs. Marsh bird tours will begin at 8:30 p.m. The tour will give an opportunity to experience sedge marsh habitat at night. Participants must pre-register. The Erickson Center for the Arts will present a guitar club gig Saturday, May 22, at 7 p.m. at the Erickson Center in Curtis. Local individuals will share their talents with the public. Donations will be accepted at the door.
The West Mackinac Pantry and Thrift Shop in Engadine will have a $1 bag sale Monday, May 10, through Saturday, May 22, during regular business hours, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, from noon to 3 p.m.
Saturday, May 22, there will be a gathering at 6 p.m. at the Hiawatha Club Activities Building, near Engadine, off H-40, a Saturday night non-traditional worship experience. For more information, call Pastor Tim Miller at 477-8090.
There will be an all-class reunion planning meeting Monday, May 24, at 7 p.m. at Engadine Consolidated Schools.
