Ashley Ryerse Earns Degree From MSU
Ashley Ryerse
Ashley Ryerse of East Lansing was graduated from Michigan State University with honors Saturday, May 8, in East Lansing. Ms. Ryerse earned a bachelor’s degree in the Department of Social Sciences, School of Social Work.
While attending the university, she served as secretary/treasurer for the State of Michigan chapter of the Phi Alpha Honor Society and was the social director for the Golden International Honor Society.
She has been a speaker and team member of statewide conferences in Traverse City and Dearborn. In the fall of 2009, she traveled to Washington, D.C. to speak, as part of a task force group with the Council of Social Work Education, to the United States Congress.
This fall, she will begin earning a Master’s in Social Work degree at George Warren Brown School of Social Work in St. Louis, Missouri, where she has received a full scholarship.
Ms. Ryerse is the daughter of Paul and Barbara Ryerse of St. Ignace and Jean Klotz of East Lansing. She is the granddaughter of Mary Jane Ryerse and the late Jack Ryerse of St. Ignace and Joan Klotz and Larry and Phyllis Klotz of East Lansing and Laingsburg.
