Brevort
Garage sales are a lot of work, but we love them anyway. The big plus is visiting with the people who stop to check your wares. New neighbors Gerald and Denise Montie dropped by our sale, and old friends George and Jo Ford visited with us.
In the village this past weekend were Charlie Movalson and Andy and Lisa Movalson and their daughter, Samantha, and Bo. The guys did a bit of fishing on Big Brevoort while Lisa and Sam relaxed at the family cottage.
Matt and Michelle Telligin were at their condominium in Brevort. I saw bicycles at Dave and Charlene Kull’s residence. Sally Conklin is at her condominium with her friend, Jane.
Tom and Joyce Gustafson and Joe and Sharon Chalmers dined in the Hessel area Friday evening, May 21.
Pega Kennedy is awaiting correspondence from the former pastors of Trinity Lutheran Church as to whether they will be attending the festivities at Midsummer.
Kyle O’Boyle was home from the Munising/ Marquette area this past weekend. He is working in construction.
Jerri Rose participated in the spring recital at Glen Memorial Baptist Church in St. Ignace Tuesday evening.
Jim and Jerri Rose’s son, Scott, was graduated from Barkley College in Havilland, Kansas, not Havilland College.
Jerri Rose and Pega Kennedy attended a meeting Saturday, May 22, at Zion Lutheran Church in St. Ignace.
The fireworks committee of Brevort Lake will sponsor a rummage sale Friday, May 28, and Saturday, May 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the township hall in Moran. There will be a bake sale Saturday, May 29, only, with a 50/50 raffle.
