More than $3,000 was raised for the family of Travis and Jaime Rickley at a spaghetti dinner at the Driftwood Restaurant Sunday, May 23. Travis, a cook at the restaurant, has recently been diagnosed with leukemia and the money will help his family with medical and travel expenses. When Tom and Heidi Sposito of the Driftwood decided to host the benefit for the family, they found their staff ready to help them by gathering donations from many local businesses for a silent auction and donating their tips to the cause that day. There was a strong turnout for the spaghetti dinner and many people donated more than the $6 suggested for the meal, bought raffle tickets, and bid enthusiastically on auction items. Food was donated by the restaurant.
