David Marshall Graveside services for David B. Marshall will be Saturday, May 29, at 1 p.m. at the St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Cemetery in St. Ignace with the Reverend Pawel Mecwel officiating. Mr. Marshall passed away September 7, 2009, in Milwaukee.

He was born May 16, 1943, in Marquette to Elsie (nee Smith) and Martin Marshall.

After growing up in Moran and St. Ignace, he served in the U.S. Air Force, then resided in Minneapolis, Detroit, and eventually settled in the Milwaukee area. Although he spent much of his adult life residing elsewhere in the Midwest, his heart never left the U.P. He had hoped to retire here.

He is survived by four children and their families, Alexis Prag, Melissa and Keith Wilde, David B. and Kelly Marshall Jr., and Katherine Marshall; seven grandchildren; two siblings and their families, Martin and Maryann Marshall and Tami and Ken Beck. His first wife was Betty Paquin, formerly of St. Ignace.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by a sister, Roberta Martineau, and a brother, Dennis Marshall.
