With the struggling economy and unemployment in the area, we all need to conserve.

Learning is priority and you can find an economical way to balance the budget.

We don't need:

1. A new bus fleet. I see half-filled buses now. Most parents drive their children to school.

2. Laptops for each student. Maybe one per classroom with a presentation screen. Learning is about resources, and not all are online. We have a library at the high school that could use an upgrade. Most colleges still use textbooks.

3. And finally, energy costs. Have you looked into solar, wind, or geothermal? Some states offer tax incentives and special grants.

We all need to see the big picture and conserve for the future. Spend wisely and within our budget.
