Our town is getting busier each day as tourists visit to take in the beautiful sights. Many beautiful flowers brighten up the area.

The building of Doud’s Market on North State Street seems to be progressing very well.
The first Farmers Market was Saturday, June 5, and it will continue every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the St. Ignace marina.
It’s nice to see Bob and Rose Nelson back in their hometown for the summer months. Elva Nelson enjoyed the Memorial Day service and brunch at the VFW.

A Touch of Craft shop will open Monday, June 14. This will be the 11th year for John and Karen Carlstedt managing the store. Crafts can be dropped off Friday, June 11, or Saturday, June 12, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. For more information, call (906) 478-5881 or (906) 630-9910.
The Grande Mariner, a 184-foot cruise ship from Blount Small Ship Adventures of Rhode Island, anchored at the Arnold dock at St. Ignace Thursday, June 3. The 100-passenger ship, which sails the Atlantic coast and Great Lakes, visits St. Ignace and Mackinac Island eight times during the summer. The ship left St. Ignace Thursday morning for Mackinac Island, where passengers toured the sights, and departed the area Friday morning.
