Nicholas Benko Nicholas Ross Benko of St. Ignace was graduated from United States Air Force basic training April 23 at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

Airman Benko is currently stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas, completing a 20-week advanced training program to become a crew chief for the KC 135 Refueler Aircraft. Upon completion of this program, he will be stationed at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, for three years.

He is a 2007 graduate of Cedarville High School.
