Terry Lee Andrews, 60, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away March 25, 2010.
He was born Thursday, June 29, 1949, to Nina J. Andrews.
Mr. Andrews served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He worked as a carpenter for most of his adult life.
He was a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and was very proud of his native heritage. His favorite hobby was building Indian artifacts such as totem poles, teepees, dream catchers, and jewelry. Mr. Andrews also enjoyed traveling and visiting family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Gayla Andrews; a daughter, Nina Gwen Hamilton; stepfather, Dwyne Eckart; five siblings and their families, Patricia Eckart, Dwyne and Cheryl Eckart, Matthew Eckart, Lenora Woods, Ellington “Duke” and Karla Eckart; three aunts, Mildred Henry, Loreen Causley, and Shirley Mondoskin, all of Hessel, and two aunts in Saginaw, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, who died April 21, 1995.
A graveside service will be Saturday, June 26, at 11 a.m. at the Old Mission Cemetery in Hessel with Father George Vaniyeplurackal of Our Lady of the Snows officiating.
