Gladys ‘Rusty’ Hunt

Gladys “Rusty” Hunt Gladys “Rusty” Hunt Gladys M. “Rusty” Hunt, 83, of Ann Arbor, played a significant role in the development of Cedar Campus, an InterVarsity Christian Fellowship training center for students at Cedarville. Mrs. Hunt died Sunday, July 4, 2010.

A Grand Rapids native, she lived in several places in the Midwest. In 1966, she made Ann Arbor her home, remaining there for 35 years. She worked alongside her husband, Keith Hunt, ministering to students through the work of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Mrs. Hunt was also well known as the author of numerous books and as a popular speaker for Christian groups.

Mrs. Hunt is survived by her husband; a son and his family, Mark and Marian Hunt; two grandsons and their families, Jedediah and April and Austin and Lauren; a granddaughter, Olivia, and a brother and his family, Robert and Linda Schriemer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Clara Schriemer; a sister, Ethel Cook; and a brother, Donald Schriemer.

Services will be Thursday, July 8, at 10:30 a.m. at the Thornapple Covenant Church at 6595 Cascade Road SE in Grand Rapids. Friends may meet the family at Zaagman Memorial Chapel at 2800 Burton Street SE in Grand Rapids Wednesday, July 7, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday at the church one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be directed to InterVarsity Christian Fellowship Cedar Campus capital fund.
