Jean Brown
Jean M. Brown, 53, of Curtis died Thursday afternoon, July 1, 2010, at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital in Petoskey.
She was born July 23, 1956, in Revenna, Ohio, to John and Myrtle (nee Stone) O'Hare.
She had been a resident of Curtis for several years. In addition to being a homemaker spending time with her family, Mrs. Brown enjoyed arts, crafts, and poetry.
She married James Brown of Curtis April 20, 1983, in Curtis.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband; four children and their families Dave and Wendy O'Hare of Newberry, Jeremy and Jessica Carroll of Garnet, Curt and Amber Carroll of Germfask, and Steven Brown of Newberry; five grandchildren; 12 siblings Judy Swartz, Marsha Gibson, Michele Anastasia, Debbie Sheppard, Diane Lincoln, Duane O'Hare, Juanita Cole, Ray Hopkins, Eugene Hopkins, Paul Hopkins, Sandra Jean O'Hare, and John Leo O'Hare, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael O'Hare.
Friends called at Beaulieu Funeral Home in Newberry Tuesday, July 6, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Graveside services followed at 11:30 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Curtis with Pastor Jay Martin, of the First Baptist Church in Manistique, officiating.
