Mr. Reeves will be in South Carolina for basic training and then will be transferred to Alabama for his advanced individual training to become an Aviation Operation Specialist.

His duty station has not yet been determined.

He is the son of Gordon and René (nee Corwin) Young of Pellston, and has two siblings, Sarah and James Reeves, both of Mackinaw City. His swearing-in date is the same day as his grandfather Lawrence Huyck’s birthday. He is also the grandson of Joan Huyck and Sam Shinners of Moran, and great-grandson of Jan Young of Yuma, Arizona. He has two nephews, Gabriel Pyrett and Ayden Brandt.
