At right: Enthusiasm and energy helped volunteers raise $23,000 during the 24-hour Relay For Life. The annual event is designed to raise funds to fight cancer. This year's efforts raised about $2,000 more than last year's $21,000 total. Walkers began the first trek around a makeshift track near the St. Ignace Elementary School shortly after 1 p.m. Friday, July 16. From year to year, the relay continues to draw new teams, said chair Sandy Feleppa. - Login to post comments
