Olivia and Eric Nordquist (Photographs by Joanne Gentile) Twins Olivia and Eric Nordquist of Clarkston were graduated summa cum laude and top senior scholars from Clarkston High School. They are the children of Steven Nordquist of Okemos, and Martha Nordquist of Clarkston, and the grandchildren of Ronald and Pauline Nordquist of Cedarville.

Miss Nordquist received the Advanced Studies Diploma for students with a rigorous course load, given to eight of the more than 600 graduates. She was also an advanced placement scholar with honors. She is a member of the National Honor Society, and participated in Youth in Government for three years, was girls state representative for 2009, and lacrosse. She plans to attend the University of Michigan to study mathematics or physics.

Mr. Nordquist received the Cedar Lodge Masonic Temple scholarship, and the U.S. Marine Corps Academic Achievement Award. He was the treasurer of the National Honor Society, and participated in cross country and track. He has been appointed to the United States Naval Academy Class of 2014 and will study systems engineering.
