(Ryerse family photograph) Thirty members of the Ryerse family of St. Ignace gathered for a reunion Wednesday, July 7, at the home of Jack and Jackie (nee Ryerse) Laver. The gathering featured children’s games and reminiscing.

Local family members attending the reunion were the Lavers, Mary Jane Ryerse, Jim and Hilda Ryerse, Scott, Lisa, Lauren, and Kyle Winkelman, Jim “Wiz” Ryerse, Jr., Judy Ryerse, and Bailey Ryerse.

Also present were former St. Ignace residents Bill and Helen (nee Hagen) Fenlon, who reside in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Tim and Gretchen (nee Fenlon) Puett with Mark, Molly, and James came from Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Fred and Judi Ryerse, and Theresa (nee Ryerse) Overton with her daughters, Sidney and Ashley, traveled from Fredericksburg, Virginia, while Matt and Linda Ryerse with their children, Thomas, Nickolas, Jonathan, and Amanda, came from Ashburn, Virginia.
