Ryan and Randi Wender
Randi Leigh Johnson and Ryan Dulton Wender of Bark River were united in marriage Saturday, July 17, 2010, at 4 p.m. on the deck at Kewadin Casino in St. Ignace with Judy St. Louis, a friend of the bride, officiating.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Mike and Neva Johnson of Moran.
The bride wore a short ivory strapless organza sheath dress with beaded lace appliqués, and carried a bouquet of lavender hydrangeas and yellow daisies.
Bridesmaids were the bride’s sisters, Lani Fettig of Moran and Mandi Johnson of St. Ignace. They wore short, purple charmeuse dresses and carried bouquets of white hydrangeas and lavender daisies.
Groomsmen were the groom’s father, Gary Wender, and friend, Drew Buyarski, and ring bearers were the bride’s nephews, Hogan and Colt Fettig. Ushers were Dan Studdard, Anthony Wender, and Gregg Fettig.
A reception took place at Kewadin Casino. Out-of-town guest came form North Carolina, Georgia, West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of LaSalle High School and a 2005 graduate of Lake Superior State University. She is employed as a teacher in the Escanaba schools.
The groom is the son of Gary and Paula Wender of Iron Mountain. He is a 2000 graduate of Kingsford High School, and a 2005 graduate of Northern Michigan University. He is also a teacher in the Escanaba schools.
The couple took a wedding trip to the Black Hills, Yellowstone National Park, and Grand Tetons.
They reside in Bark River.
