The weather continues to be just about summer perfect.

Congratulations to Robyn Albrecht, who scored a hole-in-one at the Hiawatha Club course Friday, August 27. It was a par 3, 132 yards and hole number four. Now she and her uncle, Dave Livermore, who also made a holein one on the same hole, are sharing bragging rights for a little while.

Terry, Phyllis, and Kylee Gouza recently enjoyed a few days vacation in Freehold, New York, at the home of their son and daughter-inlaw, Brent and Shelly Gouza, and grandchildren, Madeline and Alex. While there, Grandpa Gouza built the grandchildren a brand new playhouse, promising days of endless enjoyment.

The annual church picnic, held at the lakeside home of Esther Bigelow, was enjoyed by all, especially the whitefish and all the side dishes prepared by the great cooks from the Rexton Mennonite Church and the Naubinway Christian Fellowship Church.

Condolences to Evelyn Selby on the passing of her nephew, Pat Underhill, of Remus.

Belated birthday wishes to Desirae Derusha, Drake DeWyse, and Loretta Palo August 23, friend and co-worker, Judy St. Louis, August 25, Greg Livermore and Mindy Franklin August 26, and Laurie Spencer and friend and co-worker, Hillary Vowell, August 27.

Happy birthday wishes to Shauni Rutledge September 1, Shirley Konle, my friend, Gloria Swartz Kinsell, and Sam Fraleigh, who currently resides in the long term care unit at Newberry, all celebrating September 3, Sandy Livermore September 4, and David Derusha September 5.

Anniversary wishes to Chris and Yvonne Maison, Gary and Lynn Moore, and Tony and Alice Martis, all celebrating August 28.
