X-Country Runners Open Season
Sarah Cullip, St. Ignace
Three St. Ignace Saints cross country runners earned medals (top 15 runners) during the Inland Lakes Invitational Monday, August 23.
Ben Paul led the boy’s squad with a first place finish in 18:03.94, Sarah Cullip finished third in 22:14.30, and Molly Paquin placed 15th in 25:38.34. Remaining Saints runners include Kasey Bunker, 16th in 21:41.69, Heather Beaudoin, 25th in 28:54.78, and Rachel Therrian, 27th in 29:29.30.
In the junior varsity meet, St. Ignace runners Brad Gustafson won with a time of 22:44.66, Martin Donajkowski placed third in 25:15.07, and Rebecca LaLonde finished seventh in 34:59.56.
Trojans, Panthers Participate
At Central Lake Invitational
The Cedarville Trojans and Pickford Panthers competed at the Central Lake Invitational Saturday, August 28.
Trojans results: Josh Hester, 10th in 11.39; Isaiah Murray, 31st in 12.29; Janaan Meyers, 25th in 14.46; Alexis Barr, 26th in 14.27, and Erin Currie, 29th in 15.06.

Panthers results: Brandi Kopitz, 10th in 13.39 and Paul Morrison, 22nd in 12.03.
"This is a very prestigious invitational with more than 90 runners in both the girls and boys divisions," said Trojans coach Ryan Wilson. "The course was set up for two miles instead of 3.1."
