Truck Show, Light Parade Next Week

Richard Crane Memorial Truck Show At St. Ignace September 17 - September 19

The 15th annual Richard Crane Memorial Truck Show is slated for Friday, September 17, through Sunday, September 19, in downtown St. Ignace. Admission to all truck show events is free.

Truckers will arrive Friday night in downtown St. Ignace, where they will compete in a light show at 9 p.m.

Saturday night will feature the famous “Parade of Lights” at 8 p.m., in which truckers will showcase all of their running lights in a parade starting in Mackinaw City, crossing the Mackinac Bridge, and finishing on State Street in downtown St. Ignace.

More than 100 trucks are anticipated to be on display Saturday and Sunday on State Street, where spectators will have a chance to admire the vehicles and talk with owners. Signature awards will be given away Saturday, including two $1,000 prizes for best in show combo and best in show bobtail.

In addition to the truck show, the 19th annual Mackinac Ford Sales “On the Waterfront” car show and swap meet will be held concurrently Saturday, September 18, and Sunday, September 19, at Little Bear East Arena.

Featuring hundreds of tractors, the Owosso Parts Antique Tractor Show will begin Friday, September 17, with a parade at 9 a.m. starting in Mackinaw City, crossing the Mackinac Bridge, and finishing at Kewadin Shores Casino on Mackinac Trail in St. Ignace. Tractors will be on display at the casino for spectators Saturday, September 18. Admission is free.
