The article “Historical Village Should Seek New Funding Sources,” published in the January 19 edition of The St. Ignace News, incorrectly stated that Mackinaw City Village Manager Don Beavers had been a leader in a community where an alumnus from the local school donated $25,000 toward an auditorium for the school. Mr. Beavers was not a local leader in that community, but rather had heard about the situation.

An article titled “City To Seek Tribal Grants for Fort de Buade Museum,” published in the January 19 edition of The St. Ignace News, incorrectly stated that the city purchased the museum from the family of the late Dr. Donald Benson in 1977. The purchase was made in the fall of 2007.
