Hello, everyone. It’s February, and we’re through the better part of the winter.

There will be a Valentine’s senior luncheon Friday, February 3, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the CLM (Chippewa-Luce-Mackinac) Community Action Center in Newberry. Lunch will be served at noon. Suggested donation is $5 for persons age 60 and older and $7 for persons younger than 60. Reservation deadline is Thursday, February 2. For more information, call (906) 293-5621.

There will be a guided snowshoe hike at the Upper Falls of the Tahquamenon Falls State Park Saturday, February 4. The hike will begin at 3 p.m. A one-mile lanternlit ski and snowshoe trail hike will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A headlamp or flashlight is recommended. Snowshoe rental will be available from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, call Theresa Neal at (906) 492-3415.

The Top of the Lakes Community Association will meet Monday, February 6, at 5 p.m. at the snowmobile museum in Naubinway.

Condolences to the family of Lorraine Leveille, 90, a former resident of Engadine, Manistique, and Naubinway, who passed away Saturday, January 21. She was a wonderful woman who will be dearly missed. Please keep her family and many friends in your thoughts.
