Erickson Center Plans Many New Events

A yoga class is among programs announced at the Erickson Center in Curtis. It will be taught by Alison Quiring for men and women of all levels, including a beginning level, from Monday, February 6, through Monday, March 12. The class includes stretching, relaxing, and strengthening. Participants will learn and practice proper alignment and flow segment. Class is $48 for the six-week class or $10 per class for drop-ins. Registration may be made by calling the Erickson Center for the Arts’ office at (906) 586-9974.

There will be a Cabin Fever Dance at the Erickson Center Saturday, February 11, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Music will be provided by Evergreen Seven, a Munising band. Admission is $10 at the door. A cash bar will be available.

New classes being considered at the Erickson Center for the Arts are: adult art appreciation, basket weaving, bead work, children’s art appreciation, crocheting, gourd art, highland dance, juggling, knitting, plastic fusion, polymer clay, quilting, Scottish country dancing, and square dancing.

Class days and times will be determined based upon the participants and instructor availability and an adequate number of interested participants. Those interested in any class are asked to contact the office at (906) 586-9974 to have a name added to the class list. This does not commit one to taking the class. Individual class fees have not yet been determined.
