Spelling Bee Winners for Cedarville, Pickford, DeTour, and Rudyard

Middle-school students have been participating in classroom spelling bees in preparation for district spelling bees. The winners of those will compete at a regional spelling bee Tuesday, February 28, at 3:30 p.m. at St. Ignace Middle School.

Winners from Pickford, DeTour, Cedarville, and Rudyard spelling bees follow:

Winning students from Pickford are fifth-graders Noah Kamper and Cheylynn Sims, sixth-graders Kelsie Sibbald and Travis Green, seventhgraders Elizabeth Schell and Jonathon Coullard, and eighth-graders Sarah Sibbald and Mary Tinker.

Winners from DeTour are fifthgraders Alexia Rodriquez and Pearl Seaman, sixth-graders Holly Moser and Trey Norris, seventh-graders Madison Wilke and Cameron Livingston, and eighth-graders Robert Autore and Jake Dudeck.

In Cedarville, winners were fifth-graders Caroline Freel and Carolina Cabello, sixth-graders Jillian Socia and Lili Pasqual, seventh graders Alicia Kasper and Jonah Miller, and eighth-graders Anne Eberts and Ally Mrozek.

Rudyard winners were fifthgraders Malachi Stone, Summer Gaines, Sydnie Zeeryp, and Cole Besteman, sixth-graders Katrina Folkersma, Janelle Stevenson-Gascon, Eric Sweeney, and Lane Warner, seventh-graders Emily Berkompas, Erin McPhee, Ester Berkompas, and Trista MacDowell, and eighthgraders Alea Ward, Trevor Headley, Peyton Leask, and Kyle Goetz.
