The St. Ignace Middle School spelling bee winners were announced Wednesday, January 25. The students are qualified to compete in the district spelling bee competition, to be held in St. Ignace Tuesday, February 7.

Winners are as follows:

Fifth Grade: 1st- Allison Smith; 2nd- Saylor Sorenson; Alternate- Emily Coveyou

Sixth Grade: 1st- Linnie Gustafson; 2nd- Cameron Leveille; Alternate- Caiti Dean

Seventh Grade: 1st- Jared Helms; 2nd- Hannah Eby; Alternate- E.J. Schultz

Eighth Grade: 1st- Ben Freier; 2nd- Lucas Gustafson; Alternate- Kyle Sistrunk
