Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance: 6:00 PM

Roll Call: Present – Carpenter, Miller, Hill, Wellnitz, Lofdahl.

Approval of Agenda

Miller made the motion to move item #3-L.C. Artisan Coop request under new business up to item #7 on the consent agenda and remove item #11 – Grant Workshop. All Ayes.

Consent Agenda

Carpenter made the motion to approve the consent agenda as amended adding $207.45 for Gen Fund bills and item #7. Lofdahl supported. Motion carried.

Follow-up Discussion of Woodland Park / Fire Lane Issue

Miller made the motion to submit the proposal that was drafted with the changes discussed and send it to the attention of Dirk Hekman of the Road Commission as a beginning of an offer of a plan. Wellnitz supported. Motion carried.

Township Road Agreement - Poglese Road

Lofdahl made the motion to approve the road agreement for the Poglese Road in the amount of $16,500.00 contingent on the participation of Marquette Township for the project. Miller supported. Motion carried.

Board request for Assessor

Carpenter made the motion to ask Christina to track all information of the Nature Conservancy’s activity on sales and purchases. Lofdahl supported. Motion carried.

Miller made the motion to approve the letter to the Sault Tribe and others representing the Hessel Beach Committee informing them what they have done, where they are going, and where they want to go. Carpenter supported. Motion carried.

Electrical Permits

Lofdahl made the motion to approve closing the permits and pay Bryner at half of the permit fee. Wellnitz supported. Motion carried.

Miller made the motion that the Township keep $40.00 of each electrical permit - $30.00 for the permit itself and $10.00 for the administration fee. Lofdahl supported. Motion carried.

Wellnitz made the motion to pay up to $475.00 for the credit hours and manual and etc. for the Electrical Inspector. Carpenter supported. Motion carried.

Lofdahl made the motion to increase the present rate for calls that are not our responsibility for homeowner sewer problems from $35.00 per hour to $40.00 for Jim and from $25.00 per hour to $30.00 for Tony. Carpenter supported. Motion carried.

Wellnitz made the motion to approve up to $1400.00 for the MAMC conference. Carpenter supported. Motion carried.

Miller made the motion to approve Shirley Jewell to the Planning Commission fora3yearterm. Wellnitzsupported. Motion carried.
