Saints, Comets Win Baseball Doubleheaders

The St. Ignace Saints improved to 4-2 after sweeping the Brimley Bays 12-0 and 17-10 during a non-conference home doubleheader Thursday, May 2.

Cole Thompson was the winning pitcher in the first game, added two hits, and scored one run; Kyle Winkelman and Cody Therrian, three hits, two runs each; Curtis St. Louis, two hits, three runs; Zach Harrington and Brandon Oja, two hits, two runs.

During the nightcap Brennan Danielson, Zach Harrington, and Kyle Winkelman combined to pitch the Saints to the win.

Mackinaw City Sweeps Pickford

The Mackinaw City Comets swept the Pickford Pirates 8-6 and 16-1 in a home doubleheader Wednesday, May 1.

In the second game Luis Huici had three hits, three runs, three RBI’s; Chandler Lawson, two hits, three RBI’s; Matt Rivera, two hits; Conrad Prevo, Josh Johnson, Josh Duarte, and Carson Hartman, one hit each.
