Efforts of Susan Stelzer Remembered at Moran Playground

The playground at the Brevort Township Community Park in Moran was named the Susan R. Stelzer Memorial Children’s Park Saturday, October 15, in a ceremony featuring many members of the late Ms. Stelzer’s family and local officials. The park’s ribbon cutting ceremony featured all of the family members standing alongside the township’s new monument to Ms. Stelzer. Those present for the ceremony here include (from left) Brevort Township Supervisor Ed Serwach, Deacon Tom McClelland, and monument builder Steve Sayles plus Ms. Stelzer’s family including brother-in-law Greg Peterson, father Alfred Hershman, son-in-law Ryan Bird, mother Wilma Hershman, grandson Mason Bird, nephew Jacob Fenlon, nephew Jared Fenlon, sister Justna Hershman, sister-in-law Diana Peterson, daughter Heather Stelzer-Bird, former husband Joe Stelzer, daughter Katie Stelzer, son-in-law Wayne Davis, granddaughter Ally Sue Bird, grandson Koel Bird, brother Kevin Hershman, great-niece Remi Lounds, great-niece Lilly May, niece Erica Hershman, and her nephew Keith Lounds.
