Konrad Lake


Konrad Lake Konrad Lake Konrad Dean Lake, 84, of Flushing, died Monday, October 31, 2016. He and his wife, Lois, had resided in Moran, at Brevort Lake, during the summer months for 20 years.

He was born October 12, 1932, to Alvie and Florence (nee Simon) Lake in St. Ignace.

Mr. Lake was a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

He married Lois Ann Martineau May 21, 1955, in St. Ignace.

Mr. Lake was graduated from Mott College. He retired from Chevrolet Manufacturing in 1992, after 36 years employed as a skilled tradesman.

He was a member of St. Robert Church in Flushing and St. Robert Men’s Club.

Mr. Lake enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and all sports, especially basketball.

He is survived by his wife, Lois; five children and their families, William and Fran Lake, Judy and Fred Tenbusch, Randy and Tracy Lake, Mary and Scott Halpin, and John and Patty Lake; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Helen Martineau, and a sister, Gloria Hanson.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Lake was preceded in death by his father-in-law, John Martineau, and two sisters, Melba Knickerbocker and Betty Morin.

Private interment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
