Engadine Consolidated Schools

At a recent staff meeting, we discussed the “non-negotiable” expectations of students and staff at Engadine Schools. All staff members are expected to provide an environment that is conducive to effective instruction. Teachers should be prepared for class, know their curriculum, and maintain a classroom environment where all students can learn. Students have the responsibility to contribute to that classroom environment. Students need to come to class prepared, show their teachers and peers respect, and be engaged in their own learning.

You may read that above, and think, “Well, duh!” — these are not new expectations. But in the society of today, where sound bites and insults are national news, it is important to remind ourselves and our students of the basic tenets of respectful responsibility. Please help us by discussing these expectations with your children.
