Summary of Council Proceedings

December 5, 2016

The Regular Council Meeting convened at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2016, in the Council Chambers at City Hall with Mayor Litzner presiding.

Council approved the minutes of the November 21, 2016 meeting.

Council addressed the request from the Mackinac County Treasurer and agreed to send a letter of objection for the transfer of a parcel to the City.

Mike Singleton, Marina Director, gave a year-end report to Council.

Council approved the Land Conveyance Resolution.

Deb Evashevski, DDA Director, updated Council on the fund raiser for the St. Anthony’s Rock Pocket Park.

Council approved the recommendation of the Negotiation Committee on union contracts.

City Manager Therrian reviewed the Marina and Equipment proposed 2017 budget with Council.

Council introduced Ordinance No. 643,”2017 Annual Appropriation Bill”.

Council Adopted the Housing Ordinance.

Janet Peterson, Director of the Chamber of Commerce, addressed Council.

Public comments were received.

Council considered and approved bills in the amount of $14,221.20.

The next Regular Council Meeting will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
