Silver Mountain Opens for Season

A Big Hill Offers Big Thrills, and Even a Ride to the Top, in Moran Township

Nine-year-old Indian River twins Nate and Becky Skiera made their first trip ever to Moran Township’s Doc Holle’s Silver Mountain Skiing and Tubing Hill Saturday, January 14, and enjoyed the first day of the season. The hill was busy on its opening day as shown here by the crowded ski tow rope pulling riders to the top (right). The hill will be open on Fridays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from noon to 8 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 6 p.m. Nine-year-old Indian River twins Nate and Becky Skiera made their first trip ever to Moran Township’s Doc Holle’s Silver Mountain Skiing and Tubing Hill Saturday, January 14, and enjoyed the first day of the season.
