Winterfest Draws A Crowd

The chili cook-off at the Mackinaw City Winterfest Saturday, January 21, inside Mama Mia’s Pizzeria restaurant drew plenty of colorful entries, including the Wilie’s Smokehouse Chili team pictured here that won both the people’s choice award and the best decorated table award. Scott Newman (left) and Greg Yoder returned to the competition after an absence of several years. Mr. Yoder used his personal recipe for smoked sausage to add a kick to their chili, while not using any chili powder or jalapeños.
