Saints Bowlers Fall to Sault Ste. Marie, Petoskey


Morgan Thomas Morgan Thomas The St. Ignace Saints girls bowling team competed at Cheboygan Saturday, January 21, at the Cheboygan Bowling Center. In the first match against Sault Ste. Marie, the girls lost in scoring 29 to 1; and against Petoskey in their second match 28 to 2.

The Saints fell to Sault Ste. Marie with baker scoring 123 to 98 and 108 to 89, with Sault Ste. Marie scoring 1314 and St. Ignace 995 in total pins.

Individual statistics against Sault Ste. Marie: Alicia Garen 164-141 (305); Briana McGill 111- 90 (201); Shyanne Bird 71-93 (164); Karlie St. Andrew 107; Andrea Kinjorski 74; Morgan Thomas 74, and Brianna McLennan 70.

In the second match, St. Ignace was defeated by Petoskey. In baker games, Petoskey won both baker games 172 to 152 and 118 to 112, and Petoskey completed the match with 1252 total pins to the Saints 1084 pins.
