Summary of Council Proceedings
February 6, 2017
The Regular Council Meeting convened at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2017, in the Council Chambers at City Hall with Mayor Litzner.
Council approved the minutes from the January 16, 2017 Council Meeting.
Council opened and closed a Public Hearing for the CDBG Project close out.
Council approved a Resolution adopting a Procurement Policy for the CDBG Project close out.
Council approved the adoption of the Economic Opportunities Policy for the CDBG Project close out.
Council approved a Resolution adopting an Excessive Force Policy for the CDBG Project close out.
Council introduced Ordinance No. 644, “Fair Housing” and called for a Public Hearing on February 20, 2017.
Council approved a Watercraft Resolution from the DNR to call for a Public Hearing on February 20, 2017.
Fire Chief Sorenson gave an annual report of Fire Department activity and informed Council on the status of the proposed Fire Station.
Deb Evashevski informed Council that White Ribbons will be placed on the light poles to raise awareness on Violence Against Women.
Police Chief Wilk requested to be put on the agenda for February 20, 2017, regarding a new Ambulance Contract and the purchase of new equipment.
Mayor Pro-Tem Paquin voiced a concern regarding trash containers being left on the roads.
Public comment was received from Rob Frazier.
Council considered and approved bills in the amount of $61,040.00.
The next Regular Council Meeting will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
