Final 3 Superintendent Interviews To Be March 7 on Mackinac Island

Mackinac Island residents are invited to meet the final three school superintendent candidates at a reception Tuesday, March 7, at the school. Introductions will be made from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the little gym, followed by a second round of public interviews at 5:30 in the library.

Candidates are Carol Franz, a principal at Leslie Middle School, Bob Lohff, Brimley physical education teacher and former Mackinac Island teacher, and Richard Hilderley, middle school principal at Tecumseh Public Schools.

Six candidates were interviewed February 13 through February 15, after which the school board narrowed the field to three.

There are 68 students enrolled in the Mackinac Island K-12 school.
