Clarann Lambert

Clarann Lambert Clarann Lambert Clarann Lambert, 85, of St. Ignace, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, March 11, 2017, at McLaren Northern Michigan hospital in Petoskey, surrounded by her family. She had lived in St. Ignace all her life.

She was born November 12, 1931, to Raymond and Frances Helen (nee Cryderman) Garfield in Simmons Settlement.

She was graduated from Rudyard High School in 1948.

She married Joe Lambert October 15, 1960.

Mrs. Lambert was a very ambitious person, working all her life. She had taken in ironing for 50 years, and even did so after she left her regular job. She had worked at the St. Ignace Laundromat for many years. She also worked at the V&S Variety Store for Maureen Lipnitz, Marshall’s Fudge, Shores Restaurant, Traverse Bay Woolen, and the Locker Room for Dorene Ingalls.

She was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church in St. Ignace.

Mrs. Lambert loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She followed sports all her life, especially girls basketball.

She is survived by three daughters and their families, Donna Savard, Brenda Spencley, and Jane Weiss, all of St. Ignace; eight grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lambert was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, who died July 31, 1968, and a brother, Dennis, who died in 1950.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 18, at noon at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church in St. Ignace with Father Frank Ricca and Deacon Tom McClelland officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to time of the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Burial will be in St. Ignatius Loyola Cemetery in St. Ignace at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Ignace Girls Basketball, Mackinac Animal Aid Association, or Hospice of the Straits, with envelopes available at Dodson Funeral Home of St. Ignace, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
