Abduction Attempt Reported At Engadine Monday Afternoon

Mackinac County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating an attempted child abduction in Engadine Monday afternoon, March 27. A 12-year-old boy reported that an older male in a dark sport utility vehicle approached him asking for help to locate a lost dog. The man attempted to convince the boy to get into the vehicle with him, but the boy ran home and told his mother about the encounter, and she reported it to police.

Anyone who has any information about this incident is being asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office Tips Line at (906) 643-1165. The suspect is described as a white 45- to 60-year-old male with black and gray hair and a scar on his face. The vehicle is described as a black or dark gray 1997 to 2003 Dodge Durango with running boards.
