Engadine Consolidated Schools

Angie McArthur Superintendent

“Great teachers engineer learning experiences that put students in the driver’s seat, and then get out of the way.” Ben Johnson, educator

Monday, May 1, through Friday, May 5, is designated as Teacher Appreciation Week. I’d like to recognize the great team of teachers and support staff at Engadine Consolidated Schools. Teaching is an incredibly difficult job, but extremely rewarding as we see our students develop new skills and grow into young adults. I am proud to work with each of these dedicated professionals and am amazed at their daily efforts for our students. Take a minute to thank an educator this week.

Congratulations to Michael Bartholomew and Hannah McArthur, who will be honored at the EUP Principals Awards on Mackinac Island. To qualify, students must attain at least a 3.3 cumulative grade point average and score a 24 on the ACT Composite Score or a 1200 on the SAT. We’re proud of these students.

Engadine Consolidated Schools has a hunter’s raffle going on through Saturday, June 17. There are 10 prizes, including a variety of rifles, a shotgun, crossbow, tree stand, hunting knife, trail camera, and pop-up blind. Tickets are $10 and available at area businesses, from any board member, and at the school. Prizes will be drawn June 17 at the Summer Solstice celebration at the Garfield Township Hall. Join us to celebrate the arrival of summer, enjoy a good meal, and have a fun evening out.
