Richard Gregg


Richard Gregg Richard Gregg Richard Charles Gregg, 85, formerly of Hessel, served in the United States Army during the Korean War and retired from General Motors Metal Fabrication Division after many years of service. Mr. Gregg passed away Monday, April 24, 2017, at his home in Burton.

He was born August 30, 1931, to Robert and Lula (nee Wright) Gregg in Sault Ste. Marie.

He married Frances Ann Baker December 15, 1956, in Hessel.

Mr. Gregg served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He retired from General Motors Metal Fabrication Division after many years of service.

He is survived by his children and their families, Gail White of Burton, Jeanne and Raul Tamez of Grand Blanc, Billie Jo and Russ Cook, also of Grand Blanc, and Heather Gregg of Burton; grandchildren, Stacey and James, Sara, Tristin, Lindsey, Travis, Skylar, Cree, and Sage, and great-grandchildren, Whitney, Kelsey, Keith, Jade, Star, Laci, Mason, and Parker. He is also survived by four sisters and their families, Donna, Janice, Edith and Al, and Betty and Glen; three brothers and their families, Robert, Ray, and Leonard and Shirley, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Gregg was preceded in death by his wife, who died February 17, 2005; two granddaughters, Angel and Faith Eaglebear; a sister, Gertrude, and a brother, Donald.

Services were held Thursday, April 27, at 2 p.m. at R. Galer Funeral Home in Pickford. Visitation was from noon to time of the service.

Burial was at Old Mission Indian Cemetery in Hessel, with military honors.
