We can put away the plans for the ark, at least for now. The flowerbeds are showing signs of color.

It’s that time of the year when tuxedos are being rented, sparkly and sequined dresses bought, and the stage is set for the all-important prom. Such was the case this past week as the students of Engadine High School gathered at the Hiawatha Club in the activities building for a milestone night to remember.

Ron and Cindy Pongracz enjoyed the company of Cindy’s brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Cheri Paulitch, of Carrollton. While visiting, they took in a few of the sights and sounds of the Upper Peninsula.

The Hudson Township cleanup day is set for Saturday, May 20. For the times and items that can be disposed of, contact Supervisor Al Garavaglia at (906) 595-7202. The cleanup day is for Hudson Township residents only.

This year’s Mothers and Others Community Tea will be held Wednesday, May 10, at 6:30 p.m. at the Hiawatha Club in the activities building.

Belated ann iversary wishes to Ron and Jackie Weger May 8 and Sean and Deb Bennett May 9.

Continued get-well wishes to those who continue to deal with ongoing health issues.
