James McKenzie

James McKenzie James McKenzie James David McKenzie, 72, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha.

He was born June 6, 1944, to George and Gladys (nee Alkire) McKenzie at Carp River in St. Ignace Township.

He attended schools in northern Michigan.

Mr. McKenzie proudly served his country in the United States Army, from 1963 until his honorable discharge in 1966. He then made his home in Kenosha.

He was employed as a forklift operator with Exel Logistics, until he retired in 2010.

In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards.

He is survived by two sons, David McKenzie and James McKenzie; three brothers and their families, Tony McKenzie, John and Karen McKenzie, and Glenn McKenzie; two sisters and their families, Margaret O’Dell and Patsy and Tom Soeltner, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. McKenzie was preceded in death by a brother, Richard McKenzie, and a sister, June French.

In accordance with his wishes, no services were held.

Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home in Kenosha assisted the family with arrangements.
