Kay Stascak


Kay Stascak Kay Stascak Kay E. Stascak, 68, of Brookside, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, May 17, 2017, at a hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

She was born August 16, 1948, to Elvin and Agnes (nee Closs) Smith in Sault Ste. Marie.

She married Richard “Dick” Stascak March 30, 1968, at Kincheloe Air Force Base.

Mrs. Stascak was employed as an accounting clerk at various businesses throughout her career.

She will be remembered for her enjoyment of country music, her beloved animals, and her wonderful sense of humor, family members said. She was especially proud of being a military wife and a dedicated wife and mother.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Dick; two daughters, Michelle Stascak and Patti and Greg Hohn; siblings and their families, Terry and Sharon Smith, Kenneth and Sharon Smith, John Smith, and Patricia Smith; two sisters-inlaw and their families, Terry and Tom Hendricks and Karla Stascak; a brother-in-law and his family, Roger and Tammy Stascak, and numerous nieces, nephews, greatnieces, and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stascak was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-inlaw, Francis and Anna Stascak; a brother-in-law, Larry Stascak; a sister in-law, Jeanette Smith, and a niece, Tara Stascak.

A graveside service will be Saturday, June 10, at 10 a.m. at Gros Cap Cemetery in St. Ignace.
