British Invasion: 1,328 MINIs

World Record Attempt Falls Short, but Little Cars Have Big Fun at St. Ignace

The MINI has always been a very British car and there were several vehicles decorated with British themes at St. Ignace Saturday, August 5. British expatriates (from left) Chris and Graham Foulkes of Washington, Michigan drove a Union Jack-themed “Pepper White” 2006 MINI Cooper S in the MINI on the Mack parade. They have customized the exterior with vinyl graphics and custom red rims. Here the pair pose with their car after the parade at Little Bear East Arena, along with a cardboard cutout they set up of Queen Elizabeth II. See story, page 11.
