Summary of Council Proceedings

September 5, 2017

The Regular Council Meeting convened at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, in the Council Chambers at City Hall with Mayor Litzner presiding.

Public comment was received.

Council adopted the Finance Policy.

Council adopted the Bank Deposit Policy.

Council denied an offer by Mr. Douglas Radcliffe North to place a wolverine monument at the Marina.

Chief Wilk recognized Officer Ruegg’s departure and announced newly hired Officer Bennett Paul.

Council moved to support a Recovery Walk Event for September 21, 2017.

Council approved Monday, October 16th as the start date for the new City Manager, Michael Stelmaszek.

Council moved to deny the prior request of the St Ignace Events Committee to close Moran Bay from January 7th to February 1st for the upcoming Pond Hockey Event.

Council considered and approved bills in the amount of $61,946.23.

The next Regular Council Meeting will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
