The 11K run begins at 7 a.m. at Fort Michilimackinac in Mackinaw City and will end in St. Ignace at the Star Line Ferry Railroad Dock near the American Legion Park. Last year, 273 runners participated. Numbers are expected to be similar this year. Current weather forecasts predict temperatures in the mid-60s, with only a slight chance of a passing shower.

Entrants can pick up their race packets Friday, September 22, at the St. Ignace Chamber of Commerce, at 560 North State Street, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Staging will take place Saturday morning at the Star Line Railroad Dock from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. Runners will gather there to be shuttled to the starting line in Mackinaw City. The 11K course will begin at 7 a.m. at Fort Michilimackinac, make its way north across the Mackinac Bridge, continue through Straits State Park and through the southern part of St. Ignace. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. there will be a reception, light breakfast, and an awards ceremony following the race. For participants age 21 and older, tokens will be given to enjoy a drink in the beer tent.

All finishers will receive a medal, T-shirt, and post-race refreshments. A water station will be positioned at the Welcome Center near the Mackinac Bridge in St. Ignace as runners pass through. Awards will be given to the overall male and female finishers, and the first three male and female finishers in each age group. There are 15 age groups ranging from 12 and younger to 75 and older. Each participant will also have a “Time at the Top” photograph on the Mackinac Bridge available through Kunze Photography.
