Summary of Council Proceedings

September 18, 2017 The Regular Council Meeting convened at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2017, in the Council Chambers at City Hall with Mayor Pro-Tem Paquin presiding. Council opened three bids for the new DPW truck and will forward to the Finance Committee. Police Chief Wilk introduced newlyhired Officer Bennett Paul to Council. Council approved the administrative contract for DPW Director, William Fraser. Council adopted the following resolutions: Resolution for DPW Director, Resolution FOIA 2017, Resolution Public Notice to Vacate Alley 2017 and Resolution Liquor License. Council approved the SAW Grant Amendment. Council approved the Asset Management Plan for the water system, not to exceed $5,000. Council approved the purchase of a new computer for $1019 in the Clerk’s office for the security camera program. Council considered and approved bills in the amount of $44,371.11. The next Regular Council Meeting will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Official City Council proceedings are available on the City of St. Ignace website and in the City Clerk’s Office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
