Engadine Consolidated Schools

Next week, Engadine Schools will celebrate homecoming. We welcome our alumni to return to any activities they can attend. Once an Eagle, always an Eagle! The theme for this year is “Horror Movie!” and students will engage in spirit days and activities all week. The activities begin with Powder Puff Sunday at 6 p.m. Tuesday is Parents Night for junior varsity and varsity volleyball, and Wednesday is Powder Puff, followed by a bonfire. Thursday, come cheer the junior varsity football team as they host Posen at 6 p.m. Friday, the week wraps up with the Amazing Race, pep rally, homecoming parade, and tailgating at the football field. The parade will start at the elementary playground, then head west to M-117, then south to Boucha Road, and then to the football field. Come support the Eagles to victory against Brimley. The game is at 7 p.m. The homecoming king and queen will be crowned at the game, and then honored at the dance following the game.

A small team of students and staff will travel to Ford Field next week to participate in Fuel Up to Play 60. The grant is funded by the National Dairy Council and the National Football League, and is intended to improve nutrition and increase student activity. The team will return to Engadine schools and run some “plays” to share the message with our students and community.

The local science fair will occur Wednesday, October 25, for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. The top three projects from each grade will move on to the EUP Regional Science Fair Thursday, November 16, at Lake Superior State University’s Cisler Center. If you are interested in serving as a judge for our local science fair, please contact the office at (906) 477-6313.
