Ms. McKenzie worked at Mackinac Straits Hospital in St. Ignace as a certified nurse’s aide, and then, for a change of pace, she worked at the Truck Stop Restaurant in St. Ignace.

She is survived by two sons, Patrick Milligan of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Dustin McKenzie of Sault Ste. Marie, and two grandchildren, Andrew and Allisson Milligan of Murfreesboro. She is also survived by four siblings and their families, Bill Gamble of St. Ignace, Debbie and Fred Luepnitz of Brevort Lake, Pam and Ron Taylor of Sault Ste. Marie, and Mike and Trisha Gamble of Mackinac Island; six nieces and nephews, Shelli and Jesse Bishop, Freddie Luepnitz, Lori Beth Luepnitz, Denise Horn, Michael Gamble, and Madison Gamble, and four great-nieces and great-nephews, Natalee and Molly Luepnitz and Channing and Charlie Bishop.

In addition to her parents, Ms. McKenzie was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Gamble.
